Gather Around the Table
Zest is more than a cooking school—it’s a place to celebrate the power of food to foster connection. Through hands-on classes, we inspire creativity and create a community around the table. Be part of our table, where connection is always the main course.
Current Classes
$40 for an adult and one child
Recommended for ages 3–7; however, children just outside the range (younger or older) are also welcome, as all activities are designed for parent–child participation.
$25 for each additional child
10:30am (Classes will be about an hour to an hour and a half)
Class includes:
Starter activity and craft
Your child will make their lunch and eat it in class while we read stories
Take home treat!
Max: 15 people
Attendees are encouraged to dress up as the theme.
Meet Your Teacher
Janelle L. Whempner
Janelle brings nearly 30 years of teaching experience to Zest. She was honored as the 2020 Sioux Falls School District Teacher of the Year and also received the 2020 SDATFCS Teacher of the Year award. In addition to her teaching accolades, Janelle is a regularly featured Culinary Expert on Keloland Living. Her passion and expertise make her a standout educator and culinary professional.
